Visit Thessaloniki, second largest city of Greece and capital city of Macedonia, with approximately 1 million inhabitants.

Archaeological Sites

Museums in Thessaloniki:
In Thessaloniki there are numerous of museums. Most known museums are: the Archaeology Museum near the White Tower, the New Museum of Byzantine Culture, the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle, the White Tower Museum and the Museum of Attaturk.

Thessaloniki Nightlife & Entertainment:
In and near the city center are the most known clubs like Fix, Decadence and Mylos. You will find a lot of clubs in the surroundings of Thessaloniki Airport as well.

Also, there is Magic Park (a sort of luna park near the airport), Waterland (Water park with Extreme slides, multi slides, crazy river, wave pool etc), and the modern Mediterranean Cosmos, a brand new huge shopping mall (with -again- trendy coffee bars).

How to get in Thessaloniki:
Bus: From Halkidiki, Thessaloniki can be easily reached by bus. For timetables please check http://www.in-ktel.gr/

Car: From Halkidiki follow the signs "Thessaloniki." It's a straight highway from
Halkidiki to Thessaloniki and it will take you approximately 1 hour to reach Thessaloniki. When entering the city just drive towards the sea-side. Parking is (still) free at most places.
