We went to Halkidiki in May for a week it was early in the season so not too busy. We stayed at the Hotel Angelo which consists of studios and apartments, we had a good sized studio near the pool.
We had a great welcome from Hercules and Nick who really go to
great lengths to make your holiday special. Rooms were cleaned daily as were towels everything was spotless.
They do breakfast at the pool bar which we had on our first morning but it wasn't very good, so we went a different place to eat every day.
There's entertainment every night including a greek night with food included which was great so the poor breakfast must have been
just bad luck.
We ate at a different place each night and with only one exception we came away so full we could barely move as i say the Greeks don't do small. We went to the Taj Mahal indian and chinese resteraunt what a let down, we waited ages and when we did eventually get our meal it would have fit on a tea plate! It was the only time we've ever came away hungry.
Hanioti itself is set around a main square with fountain and close to a lovely beach, it really comes to life at night and is busy till really late. Lots to see and do loads of tavernas and bars you are spoiled for choice, we'd go back anytime you even get Greek lessons thrown in when you are at hotel or shopping as soon as you say the odd word in greek they encourage you to do a bit more, all good fun.
So if you want a great holiday go to Hanioti!
